How to Get Involved

We are so excited you would like to find out about how to get involved with the Lasallian Foundation. There are many different ways you can become more involved with the Lasallian Foundation. Here are some examples of how to live out the Lasallian values in a practical way.

Volunteer - Lasallians without Borders

Volunteering is a very practical and amazing way to give back to the community.

Lasallian Foundation facilitates volunteering experiences for De La Salle school students building on the youth formation and social justice activities within their school. Volunteering instils a sense of pride in the students and an appreciation of how different communities operate around the world.

Our partner projects in India, Papua New Guinea, Sri Lanka, Thailand and Cambodia are able to accommodate volunteers to help them contribute to local communities. The Lasallian Foundation focuses on establishing strong long term relationships with the local communities.

Contact if you are interested in finding out more.

* Note all Lasallian volunteers are self-funded. The Lasallian Foundation does not offer paid volunteering opoortunities.

See what a difference the De La Salle Malvern Coolies school volunteering program has made here.

We also have occasional volunteering opportunities at the Lasallian Foundation office in Melbourne. Previous volunteers have assisted us with some of the following:

  • Events
  • PR
  • Photography and Video Editing
  • Administration, IT and Office
  • Packing up donated good for the annual PNG shipping container project
  • Policy writing

Donate In Kind

We currently operate a shipping container project where we send donated goods from schools and independent donors to PNG annually.  Our fundraising events also require charity auction items or raffle prizes to help raise funds for many of our programs. Generous companies and individuals have donated a variety of items and experiences as well as massage vouchers and hair salon treatments in the past. The generosity of donors is quite humbling.

Please contact if you are interested in contributing. We also try to minimise costs wherever possible so if you are interested in finding a new home for any surplus stationery or office products please do get in touch.

Social Media

Keep up to date and help us raise awareness of Lasallian projects!

Workplace Giving gives you the opportunity to change people’s lives by supporting long-term sustainable development projects. It is a three way partnership between employees, employers and the Lasallian Foundation, and offers employees a convenient way to donate to the Lasallian Foundation.

Employers can also match employee donations or donate a set amount, giving employers success with the community aspect of corporate social responsibility.  It can also strengthen employee recruitment, loyalty and retention levels and requires minimal work from payroll administration and is cost effective.

To find out more about Workplace Giving visit our webpage or phone us on (03) 9508 2700 or email

And of course donations - we couldn’t continue to assist the many different programs we support without them.

You can join our Pencil Out Poverty regular giving program and donate on a regular basis to provide ongoing support for our nutritional, educational and development programs for disadvantaged children in the Asia Pacific. A regular gift allows us to receive a consistent donation stream to aid sensible long term planning and development.
